SPORTS TEAMS AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Under the guidance of our experienced coaches and physical education teachers, Woodcrest students begin developing fundamental movement, coordination, and motor skills as early as Kindergarten. As they grow, these foundational abilities evolve into a lifelong appreciation for fitness, healthy living, teamwork, sportsmanship, perseverance, and leadership.
Woodcrest offers a dynamic and developmentally appropriate athletic program for students in both our elementary and middle school divisions. Elementary students can compete in the VISA League, while our middle school student-athletes participate in the San Fernando Valley Private School League, providing opportunities for both skill development and competitive play.
Our athletic offerings include Soccer, Flag Football, and Cross Country in the fall; Basketball and Cheer during the winter; and Track & Field, Girls Volleyball, and Baseball in the spring.
In addition, swimming is an integral part of our physical education curriculum, taking advantage of our on-campus pool, with students also having the opportunity to participate in an after-school swim enrichment program.
Whether students are competing on the field, in the gym, on the track, or in the pool, Woodcrest’s athletic program encourages confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a commitment to personal growth both in and out of the classroom.
