Enrichment Programs & Activities

Student Council

At Woodcrest, we believe in nurturing leadership skills from an early age. Our Student Council empowers young students to take an active role in their school community. It offers a platform for our youngest learners to express their ideas, plan events, and develop vital skills such as teamwork and communication. The Student Council fosters a sense of responsibility and a passion for making a positive impact, setting the stage for well-rounded, confident individuals as they progress through elementary school and beyond.

Dance

Through dance, students develop physical coordination, discipline, and self-expression, all while discovering the joy of rhythm and movement. Our dedicated instructors guide students through a variety of dance styles, encouraging them to explore their unique talents and passions, making for a truly enriching educational experience.

Competitive Sports

Under the care and attention of Coach Jason and Coach Michael, our students starting in kindergarten learn fundamental skills in movement and dexterity. From these basic skills students start to learn the art of playing sports, how to live a healthy lifestyle, and teamwork. As a proud member of the intramural VISA league, Woodcrest offers competitive sports, where students participate in basketball, volleyball, cheer, soccer, swimming, and long distance running.

Music

Students in our after-school music program learn to play instruments, discover diverse musical genres, prepare for group performances, and develop a profound appreciation for music. The fun music activities offered at our Tarzana elementary school nurture creativity, cooperation, and an enduring love for the arts, all while creating lasting memories and experiences.
