Woodcrest Elementary School is an accredited, coeducational private day school for children in kindergarten through eighth grade located on a secure 2.5 acre campus in the West San Fernando Valley. Founded in 1969, Woodcrest Elementary has enriched the lives of children for more than forty five years by working with students to develop a strong academic foundation, superior reading skills, leadership and community awareness, and highly proficient users of technology.Year after year, Woodcrest students score among the top 10% in the nation in standardized tests, rank in the top five in the Valley Interscholastic Sports Association, and flourish as active members of our local community.

Kindergarten

At Woodcrest, we give careful attention to providing a smooth transition from preschool to kindergarten. Our primary goal is to help our students develop the skills for successful learning. Woodcrest’s kindergarten program recognizes the developmental differences in children and provides the structure necessary for individualized attention.

Elementary School

Middle School

Woodcrest Middle School’s educational programs are grounded in STEAM and are designed to inspire students to pursue their academic and co-curricular passions in small classroom. Students are instructed by highly proficient teachers in math, language arts, social studies, science, technology, robotics, and electives.

The campus is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m and can provide before and afterschool care for your child.

Parent Organization

We are fortunate at Woodcrest School to have an actively involved group of parents who care deeply for their children’s education. All parents are encouraged to take on leadership opportunities as well as attend Parent Organization events.

The Parent Organization is comprised of parent volunteers who help support the school through fundraising activities, as well as assist in a variety of school services and share many responsibilities, including:

  • Sponsorship an Annual Teacher Appreciation Lunch
  • Coordination of safety programs
  • Support of the garden
  • Participation in holiday celebrations and classroom trips

Community Service

At Woodcrest School we place emphasis on working together to help our local community. Parents, students, faculty, alumni, and friends get together throughout the year to participate in many important ways to raise awareness, raise money, and most importantly to show how the power of many can truly make a difference in the world.
